A true fashionista at heart, Tameca Hodges was born, raised and still lives in Dallas, Texas. Her extensive career in fashion began at a very young age. Her obsession to be different set her apart from many others. She was always one to change and embellish garments to make them her own.
In 2006, Tameca opened her own boutique called Denym & Diamonds, which is now the name of her own clothing label. Denym & Diamonds is a private label where you can find a large selection of premium denim and also more glamorous pieces designed by T.Hodges. Denym & Diamonds is a label where you can find street wear as well as high-end garments.
Inspired by Fashion Designers such as; Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Balenciaga and a host of others. Tameca’s style can be described as a blend of sensual, classic glamour with an almost bold, rock ‘n roll twist creating edge to conservative looks, which she calls street couture. With a meticulous design esthetic Tameca manages to transform everyday looks into art forms.
Always witty and energetic, Tameca has had the pleasure of collaborating with several creative photographers, film writers, models and make-up artist.
Apart from her career at Denym & Diamonds and styling gigs, Tameca is also starting her own fashion magazine called “DENYM” with first issue scheduled to be available January 2011.
Aside from being a great designer, Tameca has dedicated much of her time and talent to non-profits organizations to help raise money for a cause. In 2009 Tameca hosted a fashion show called Couture & the Cure, which benefited Susan G. Komen for the cure. Using her own money to purchase fabric for garments, create the garments at no charge and also secure the venue it is safe to assume that Tameca’s passion for fashion is not solely about profit. All of the proceeds from that event were donated directly to Susan G. Komen for the cure.
Tameca is devoted to eventually making Denym & Diamonds one of the most popular, contemporary private labels around.
